Boulder Pride has been connecting the LGBT community in Boulder County since 1994. It was time for a new brand, and even possibly a new name. Thanks to a grant from the Gill Foundation, Boulder Pride hired Vermilion to explore a range of possibilities. The result is a new name. Boulder Pride is now Out Boulder. The new brand expresses the broad range of activities of the organization, with a fresh take on what it's like to gay in the year 2011. Advocating for Equality

Founded in 1994, the Gill Foundation has been fighting and scrapping and kicking deadbeats in the shins for fifteen years working for LGBT equality. Their just-published annual report, part of a completely new Vermilion-produced website, chronicles the events of the past 15 years in an interactive timeline that puts their efforts in perspective with significant national events of the time. There’s also a short video that shows the start/stop, step-by-step process of change over the past couple years, and popup maps that provide a picture of the changing national legal structure on marriage recognition, nondiscrimination laws, and the like. It’s nice to see someone like Tim Gill, whose foundation at last count has given out close $100 million in grants, stand up for his convictions and make a difference in our society.

The School Food Project was created to change the way kids eat at school, and to transform cafeterias into “culinary classrooms for students.” The goal is to ensure all children in the Boulder Valley School District have daily access to fresh, flavorful and nutritious food. Vermilion was pleased to donate a logo to this worthy cause. Congrats to Whole Foods for sponsoring the fund raising effort!
