There’s no reason a gluten-free diet should get in the way of any kid's best summer. For the second year, Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery is awarding “Happy Camper” scholarships to a totally gluten-free (and totally fun) summer camp. Campers enter via a mobile-friendly Facebook application by writing a 100 word statement of what makes them special besides being gluten-free.

A Heaping Helping of Fun

To introduce the new, easy-prep Gluten-Free Savory Herb Stuffing, we created a 10-day "More Fun Stuff(ing) Giveaway" on Facebook. This mobile-friendly app revealed a daily place-setting giveaway of fun "stuff" The app included a link to gluten-free stuffing recipes created by top bloggers, a coupon and a store locator list.

It’s Tea Time.

This charming Giveaway asked fans to upload a photo of themselves or a friend enjoying tea time. Grand prize was a getaway for two to New York City, including afternoon tea at the Plaza.

From Me to You.

This Facebook app for Celestial Seasonings invited friends to share the magic of holiday teas with someone special. Users shared a photo and recipients would receive a surprise delivery of two holiday teas.

This latest Facebook engagement for Rudi's Organic Bakery let fans create their own toasted masterpiece and share with friends. Included was a $1-off coupon. The campaign added more than 11,000 likes in the first three weeks.

So for their Facebook promotion, we wrapped up fun prizes for the kitchen like a margarita maker, Weber Grill, molcajete, juicer and more and asked fans to guess to win what was underneath the scrumptious tortilla.

PR News' Digital Award Winner! 2012 WOW Campaign category. The "Let's Doodle Lunch" Rudi's Organic Bakery promotion invited moms to upload their little Picasso's artwork to a Facebook application to receive a free customized sandwich box with their design on the lid. Each of the designs uploaded to Facebook was immediately added in the "Rudipolitan Museum" where other moms and families could view the submissions. Not only did "Let's Doodle Lunch" inspire children's creativity, it made lunch time more fun. By the end of the month-long, fully-integrated campaign, more than 18,000 proud parents had submitted art. Rudi’s achieved more than 30,000 new Facebook Likes, nearly tripling its goal and more than doubling its fan base, gained a great response on social channels and helped drive awareness sales.

Fun, Friendly, Gluten-Freebies

Living gluten-free shouldn't be about deprivation, it should be about celebration. To kick off the new year, we created "Gluten-Freebies," 30 days of giveaways to engage the online community with a fun, simple Facebook sweepstakes supported with online media, website content and blogger outreach. Reaching a tally of over 24,000 new fans and over 6,000 email subscribers for Rudi’s Gluten-Free Bakery, the program was great success and exceeded all goals. And, with over 15,000 coupons printed, it was a great way to share the love of Rudi’s delicious gluten-free breads.

Bringing Brighter Days and Finding New Fans

To drive awareness of the Rudi's Organic Bakery's commitment to living an optimistic life as well as one free of artificial ingredients, preservatives and GMOs, we created the “Brighter Days Giveaway” featuring 30 days of daily giveaways. After liking the page, fans could enter to win upbeat prizes that reflected the Rudi’s lifestyle. A simple mantra encouraging fans to live life to the fullest and connected to the prize description was included on each entry form. The effort included a $1 off coupon good for any Rudi’s product. The campaign garnered 13,250 new Facebook Likes, 5,000 new email subscribers and 7,400 coupon downloads. This program was a finalist in the 2012 PR News' Digital Awards.
